This type of poem is called a villanelle. It is characterized by how the lines are used again in a particular pattern. I’ve added numbers to aid you being able to spot the pattern.
The Loon
1. The loon on the lake cries her mournful song.
2. Still water laps on the shore to a rhythmic beat.
3. Her cries are hauntingly beautiful and strong.
4. The hours of the night are cold and long.
5. She calls for her partner soon to meet.
