Psithurism (sith-your-ism)

The sound of leaves rustling in the wind is called psithurism.
A rainbow formed through a clear piece of glass is called a prism.
The smell of the rain after a rainstorm is called petrichor.
An overcast day is known as a bengy, when rain threatens to pour.

Blenky is a term for a very light snowfall seemingly hardly worth a notice.
When the sun is the farthest from the equator it is known as a solstice.
A foxy day is bright and sunny but freezing cold which deceives many.
A messenger is a bright gleam of light breaking through thick clouds a plenty.

When buckets of rain pour from the sky in sheets it’s called a pikels.
Waves that billow and rise but don’t break are called a swell.
A twirlblast and a twirlwind are fun words to say instead of tornado.
Meanwhile a sunwade is a haze around the sun, and a weathergaw is a rainbow.

Swullocking weather is humid and hot, seemingly insufferable.
If you choose to forget these words, that totally acceptable.
The point of this rhyme is to open your eyes to the vast array of language.
You can express yourself, and paint your world, this the point of this adage.
