Your Calling

Don’t underestimate your importance in God’s vast eternal plan.
What others may call mundane, oft holds great value in His hands.
Some seek fame and fortune, or mens’ oft elusive praise.
Impressive roles of importance, to feel significance all their days.

But God doesn’t call the mighty, to do His greatest deeds.
He uses ordinary people that follow where He leads.
You don’t have to prech to thousands or sail across the seas,
To share His love with others and find victory on your knees.

One small word or action may save a soul hellbent.
One less headed for destruction, because of you whom He sent.
Your brother, your sister, your child, your neighbor right next door,
Maybe a stranger in the market never felt His love before.

Your duty is to love them, all of your fellow men.
Help the where it’s needed, with compassion as a friend.
You may never realize, how large an impact made,
When in humble service, your life on Him is laid.

Until that day in glory, when every face you’ve blessed,
Tells of how God used you, to help them for the best.
A simple little smile, a knock upon the door,
A word of encouragement, a burden that you bore.

In a world of misery, filled with pain and strife,
May have been the one thing that saved another’s life.
So don’t you feel unimportant, God’s got a plan for you,
And when you bless another, a blessing waits for you!
