Dandelion

Dandelion poking through the sidewalk,

Your sunny face is pretty to behold.

Tucked in between a hard place and a rock,

You glow every bright and bold.

With beauty you nurture the bees,

That flit from flower after flower.

Your tender petals for us to see.

Your resilience to endure.

You’re a symbol to us from above,

To shine with all we’re worth.

Even when life is hard and rough,

Hold on tightly to our turf.

We were placed just where we need to be,

To grow and love and learn.

And when changes come to you and me,

For knowledge our hearts should yearn.

God has lessons all around us,

For our minds to explore and hold.

He uses nature to show He loves us.

And our heart He’ll continually mold.
