Emergent E Emergency
(This poem only contains the vowel E and the occasional letter Y)
Tell the events ere.
See embers emerge.
Emergency bells reverb.
The specter vexes the dejected belle.
She heeds egress hence.
She weeps secretly.
The scene exceeds the wreck.
Her helpmeet meets the end.
He seeks sleep, eyes empty.
He wheezes and retches.
Emergency techs get there.
They eschew credence.
They test help.
They never expect the best.
Nevertheless, they mend yet.
They lessen the extent he bleeds.
The slew of swelling dressed.
They trek the street.
EMS steers the wheels.
They enter the ER next.
They resect the spleen.
He rests, he sleeps, he mends.
The new week he gets well.
He seeks bed rest.
The belle enters.
She expresses tenderness serenely.
He expresses glee.
Verve, energy, fettle ever.
“Extremely blessed”.
Experts tell every peer.
He emerges mended.
He metes cheer freely to men.
