mysterious woman with axe in the forest

Axe the family tree.
Cut it to the ground.
It’s an evil legacy.
No good to be found.

Generations of curses.
Abuse riddling each domain.
The liar repeatedly rehearses,
No one breaks the chain.

Year after year pass.
Decades then go by.
Children grow up fast.
Old people soon die.

But one thing remains.
It’s as certain as the air.
Mistreatment is the same.
New victims every year.

Axe the family tree.
Break free from the pain.
Save your progeny.
From mistreatment abstain.

Only you can save your kids,
From the abuses of the past.
Don’t let life place the bids.
Make changes that will last.

Only you have the power.
You can make the change.
For yourself a new path confer.
Though at first it will seem strange.

Change comes gradually.
Step by step, day by day.
Actions establish habitually.
Old patterns fade away.
