Blood On The Innocent
The wounded often bleed upon all those nearby.
Blood on the innocent, who offer help and try.
They try to mend the wounds, but healing comes really slow.
The wounds continue bleeding from many years ago.
The pain is overwhelming and spread to those around.
The wounded often lash out, without a single sound.
They avoid others who simply want to help.
Trust forever shattered from what was previously dealt.
Sometimes they lash out in anger as they suffer in pain.
The anger misdirected, and the wrong people they blame.
Rash decisions made can end in strong regret.
Clear boundaries are needed to be properly set.
Healing comes really slowly as they start to face the pain.
Untangling the lies while redirecting the blame.
The blame placed where it should be and understanding laid.
Forgiveness may slowly come when realizations are made.
Often those who hurt them, themselves were victims too.
Bleeding on the innocent, many years gone through.
So, forgive them as you can because they’re in pain also.
Healing you can achieve, and you will fully know.
